Having recently arrived in Washington, I began to lead the Varsity Scouts in some high adventure activities. We used 4 or 5 kayaks and a raft to shoot the Snoqualmie- class 2.   Three of the craft had been constructed by my wife and her family when she and her brother were about this age. The blue one piloted by Carl Baisden did not make the trip intact, but John Baisden and myself did manage to rescue the crafts hapless pilot from the rock that he had wrapped it around!

In this shot is also my oldest son who was still just a bit young to pilot one of these. That’s kid of funny though because Jared had been with me on 3 occasions in the kayaks and each time we ended up swimming!
