Dear PERSONALIZE:
My name is PERSONALIZE, and I write to you as a concerned citizen of PERSONALIZE State and of the United States of America. I ask you to please take some time to study the evidence provided as it relates to a very important Constitutional issue regarding the President Elect, Barack Obama. That issue, as you probably know, is that any candidate elected President MUST be a natural born citizen as stated in the Constitution of the United States. For reasons of national security, Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution precludes a naturalized citizen from the office of President or Vice President. A naturalized citizen, however, may run for any other political office, including Senator.
This year’s election was historic in many regards, especially the fact that Mr. Obama became the first African American to be elected president! But, while Senator Obama is receiving high-level briefings on our country’s most closely held secrets and is fastidiously working on cabinet appointments, there remains a lingering pregnant question: Is Senator Obama constitutionally qualified to hold the office of President of the United States?
This is no trivial
matter as the civil transfer of power and even the subordinate position of the
military depends on the presumption of legitimacy. We cannot leave this cloud
hanging over the Presidency. Please
remember how, in 2000, a very controversial decision over the counting of a
small number of ballots left large numbers of people with “He’s not my
president” on their lips for the next eight years. Can you imagine the crippling effect this will have on our nation
if millions of Americans are not assured that their president can legally
assume the office at all? This issue
has not been answered. No court has
ever reviewed the merits of the arguments – only the “legal standing” of the
individuals asking.
You may ask how he was placed on the ballot if there really was such a problem. History shows anyone can be on the ballot. This year there was a Nicaraguan man with only a green card for credentials on a number of state’s presidential ballots!
In an effort to quash speculation about his birth, Senator Obama’s campaign posted what he purported as a Birth Certificate issued by the State of Hawaii. What they posted satisfied only those who didn’t look at it too carefully as it turned out to be exactly the kind of document issued to foreign born children of Hawaiian residents. Stripped of the normal witnesses and exact places found on all real birth certificates, the “Certification” document he showed, even if genuine, fails to prove anything and only bolsters the assertion that he may have been born abroad and registered as Hawaiian law allowed, after the fact.
I believe the evidence in the accompanying attachment is sufficient to cause “reasonable doubt” as to whether Senator Obama is a natural born citizen. I am certain that when you cast your critical presidential ballot you will desire total certainty, with no doubt or lingering concerns. It is not just a good thing, it is a constitutional duty, and you have the right to demand of Congress and Mr. Obama the obvious and simple information: a certified birth certificate and access to any adoption records on file in Hawaii.
While numerous lawsuits have been filed to force Mr. Obama to release his certified birth, immigration and passport records, to date he has managed to keep them all sealed from public view.
Additionally, indications are that he was adopted as one Barry Soetoro by his Indonesian step-father, Lolo Soetoro, and moved to Indonesia where that county’s law established a dual citizenship issue - yet another constitutional prohibition. His school records show that he was raised in Indonesia during his formative years. However, just like his birth records, Mr. Obama has steadfastly blocked all access to Hawaiian adoption records leaving another significant question not put to rest.
If Senator Obama is constitutionally qualified to serve as President, then inasmuch as he was duly elected, he has every right to be sworn in as our nation’s 44th President. But to date, despite two pending lawsuits in the United States Supreme Court and multiple past and ongoing lawsuits in state courts, Senator Obama has refused to release any documents that can be examined and demonstrate that he is, in fact, a natural born citizen, or that he’s even a citizen of the United States. His refusal to provide basic documentation that is readily available to every natural born citizen of this country makes him appear as one who is hiding something. There really is no other rational explanation.
Again, if Senator Obama is constitutionally qualified as he maintains, then openly and conclusively proving such would solidify and legitimize his Presidency. But if he continues down the recalcitrant path he has chosen to date, then people in America will have good cause to view him as a potential con artist and usurper. And that is something this country can ill-afford at this fragile point in our history. Consider the possibility of the citizenship issue resurfacing during his presidency. If, in the past, he ever presented himself as a non-US citizen or with dual citizenship, during international travel and/or on official applications for any institution such as a university, there is no doubt it will eventually be discovered. He may be vulnerable to domestic or foreign blackmail, or pressed for favors not in the best interests of Americans.
As a PERSONALIZE elector who has a sworn duty to uphold the Constitution of the United States, I beseech you to do your part to compel Senator Obama to put forth his records and settle this matter once and for all. You can do so by signing and mailing the enclosed petition which requests that Congress vet Senator Obama’s constitutional qualifications forthwith. You can additionally sign the petition online at the following website: http://www.rallycongress.com/the-peoples-voice/ .
I am confident that you, as a patriot, love the Constitution as I do and intend to take seriously your oath as an Elector: to uphold and defend the Constitution. The issue is NOT a partisan one: it is a Constitutional one. It is a document over which our forefathers spilled their blood. The least we can do is defend it.
I would love to speak with you personally regarding this issue. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email at PERSONALIZE, or by phone at PERSONAL.
Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
Respectfully,
