Description of Lawsuit
Efforts:
Each of these lawsuits
are the original grass-roots work of individuals and/or licensed attorneys who,
along with any plaintiffs; have placed their careers, their personal finances,
their enormous time and energy and even their lives on the line to demand that
the constitution be followed and the rule of law adhered to.
The cases are varied in
the legal technical methods and bring various specific constitutional and legal
questions to bare; the one red thread running through them all is to demand
that the court address the “Natural Born Citizen” status of the presidential
candidates – especially Mr. Obama but not exclusively.
No order implied:
Denofrio’s NJ case (in conference review US Supreme court) addresses the
constitutional demand that both parents be US Citizens at the time of the
candidates birth. Since Mr. Obama was born of a foreign national from Kenya, he
fails the 2 citizen parent test.
Berg’s case PN (appealed to US Supreme court) looks deeply at proof of
the birth location and the effects of adoption and expatriation on claims of
dual or foreign citizenship
Orly’s case CA Lightfoot v. Bowen (appealed to US Supreme court)
independently approaches similar issues to Wrotnowski’s but addresses them
unique to CA statutes
Wrotnowski’s case CT focuses on the duties of the State Secretary of State to
proactively and reactively prevent election fraud. It points to some of the
accusations brought up in Berg regarding being born on US soil and in the
appeal elaborates per Denofrio on the 2 citizen parent requirement.
Similar
actions continue to evolve in state courts:
Stephen Pidgeon, WA Citizens et al v. Reed. Cause No.
8-2-473-8 In WA state, a group of citizens filed suit
against the Secretary of State Reed demanding injunction to the certification
of Electors to the Electoral College. Arguments for standing use a statute
unavailable to a previous suit, Marquis v. Reed and use a hybrid of arguments similar

Efforts:
“Bottom Line” said Orly
Taitz, whose Lawsuit has just been appealed to the US Supreme Courts, “We are
not going away quietly into the night.” The constitution demands that the
President be born on US soil of two US citizens. Several of the candidates,
notably Mr. Obama fail that test. We are growing and multiplying and determined
to have the citizenship qualifications of the presidential candidates reviewed
-not avoided.”
On Monday, December 8,
2008, at 1:30 pm, the We The People Foundation will conduct a press conference
at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
The licensed attorneys
who initiated lawsuits in PA (Philip Berg) and CA (Orly Taitz), challenging
presidential candidates eligibility to hold the Office, will briefly summarize
the facts, legal arguments and status of their cases. They will answer
questions from the press.
Prior to the start of
the conference, at 10 am, the Supreme Court of the United States is expected to
announce whether it will consider applications from these attorneys who have
asked the Court to delay the proceedings of the Electoral College pending a
determination of the underlying constitutional question - the meaning of the
"natural born citizen" clause of Article II of the Constitution and
its application to Mr. Obama.
Robert Schulz will
briefly discuss Mr. Obama's response to the publication of his Open Letter in
the Chicago Tribune on Monday and Wednesday of this week. For the reasons given
in the Open Letter, Schulz asked Mr. Obama to: (1) immediately authorize
Hawaiian officials to provide a team of forensic scientists access to his
original ("vault") birth certificate and (2) arrange for the delivery
of other documents needed to conclusively establish Obama's citizenship status.
Mr. Schulz will answer questions from the press.
"Under our
Constitution, no one is eligible to assume the Office of the President unless
he or she is a 'natural born citizen,'" said Bob Schulz, Chairman of the
Foundation. "To date, Mr. Obama has refused all requests to release his
original birth certificate or other documents that would definitively establish
his citizenship status and thus his constitutional eligibility."
The Open Letter to Mr.
Obama summarizes the evidence against Mr. Obama and the adverse consequences
that would befall the Nation should he assume the Office of the President as a
usurper.
"Should the state
members of the Electoral College cast their votes for Mr. Obama in the face of
such overwhelming evidence, and without verification of Mr. Obama's
eligibility, they would be committing treason to the Constitution," said
Schulz.
